J.B. McKnight, Jr.

Mr. J.B. McKnight, Jr.,
72, died Friday, June 10, 2011, at Haws Memorial Rehab & Nursing Facility.
Mr. McKnight, known as
Mac, was of the Baptist faith and was a retired auto mechanic who had worked for
a Chevrolet dealership. He was known
nationwide as one of the very best corvair specialists and had been recognized
by Chevrolet with many awards. He had
lived in California
and in this community for the past 4 years.
He is survived by his wife
Betty (Daniels) McKnight of South Fulton, TN, to whom he married December 31,
1957; 2 daughters, Della Detrick of Fulton, KY, and Dyanna McKnight of South
Fulton, TN; 2 sons, David McKnight of South Fulton, and Darren McKnight of Palm
Desert, CA; 8 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; 5 brothers, Jerry
McKnight of Bossier City, LA, Roger McKnight of Shreveport, LA, Curtis McKnight
of Newport TN, Perry Thompson and Paul Thompson, both of Portage, IN; 2 sisters
Marie Maldonade and Geraldine Randler, also of Portage, IN.
He was preceded in death
by his parents, Bonnie (Melton) and J.B. McKnight, St.
Memorial services will be
held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 18, 2011, at First
Baptist Church
in Fulton, KY, with Dr. Jack Acree officiating. There will be no visitation. Friends are asked to meet at the church prior
to the memorial service. Hornbeak
Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
