John M. Parham

(January 27, 1927 – July 17, 2011)

 

Mr. John M. Parham, 84, of South Fulton, TN, died Sunday, July 17, 2011, at Obion County Nursing Home in Union City.

 

Mr. Parham was a member of First Baptist Church in Fulton, KY, and had worked for the City of Fulton in the Public Works Department.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps and had lived in the area most of his life.

 

He is survived by 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert Parham of Martin, TN, and Roger Parham (Diana) of Pace, FL; 4 daughters and 2 sons-in-law, Tina Smith (Edward) of Mayfield, KY, Fannie Armstrong of Union City, TN, Velma Ethridge (Billy) of South Fulton, TN, and Mildred Truelove of South Fulton, TN; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; and one sister.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Cleveland Parham and Victoria Morrison Parham, a brother and a sister.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m ., Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Jeff Keith officiating.  Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery in Weakley County, TN.  Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, July 19, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
