J.T. Roberts
J.T. Roberts, age 92 of Clinton Passed away 2 AM Monday at the Clinton-Hickman Co. ICF Nursing Home. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, a dairy farmer, WWII Army Veteran, University of Kentucky graduate, he taught the Veterans Class for 1 ½ years at Fulgham School and taught school at Cayce. He is survived by his wife, Jewell Eloise Story Mullins Roberts of Clinton; 2 daughters, Judy (Jim) Cromer of Summerville, SC and Janie (Leonard) Herbig of Columbia, SC; 3 Sons, Tommy (Sheri) Roberts of Clinton, Billy (Carol) Roberts of Canton, GA and Joe Roberts of Cordova, TN; 3 step-children, Barbara (Larry) Armstrong and Ronnie (Anita) Mullins both of Clinton and Larry Don (Donna) Mullins of Union City, TN; 2 sisters, Dot Bailey of Murray and Rebecca (Dick) Cunningham of Estes Park, CO, 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his 1st wife, Mildred Wrather Roberts; parents, Carlos and Lucille Hargrove Roberts and sister, Margaret Howard. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Thursday at the Brown Funeral Home in Clinton with Rev. Phillip McClure and Rev. Joe Skelton officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
