Roberta Torian

Mrs. Roberta “Goggie” Sanderson Torian, age 93 of Paducah passed away 3:20 AM Monday, January 16, 2012 at her residence.  Mrs. Torian always put God first, then family second and thought about herself last.  Throughout the last few years as her sitters were there to care for her, she was always more concerned about their welfare than hers.  Mrs. Torian was a member of Bellview Baptist Church for over 60 years, Co-owner of Torian Garage in Paducah and a member of the Stinger Bowling League.  Mrs. Torian always had a smile on her face and was the light of her family. She is survived by her Son, Bill (Judy)Torian of Paducah; Daughter, Dolores Torian Harper of Clinton; Grandson, Brian Robert Harper of Clinton; three granddaughters,  Trisha (Robert) Helm and Greta (Shawn) Nelson both of Benton and Gina (Erick) Harris of Paducah; seven great grandchildren, Jonah Robert Harper and Jacob Elliott Harper both of Clinton, Scott Fraser, Tyler Helm, Tori Helm all of Benton, Jadan Harris and Steele Harris both of Paducah; several nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, James Torian, parents; Robert and Johnnie Cunningham Sanderson; son-in-law; Gary Harper; 3 sisters, Lucille Brooks, Dorothy Crenshaw and Mary Smith. Special Thanks to Lourdes Hospice and all of Mrs. Torian Private Sitters.  Funeral Services will be held 12:30 PM Wednesday at Woodlawn Mausoleum Chapel in Lone Oak with Rev. Aubert Rose and Rev. Ken Jewell officiating.  Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery.  Friends may call from 10-11 AM at the Brown Funeral Home in Clinton.  Donations: Dream Factory, Inc., P.O. Box 2333, Paducah, KY 42002.
