Shirley Bush Morris

(September 19, 1932 – June 12, 2011)

 

Ms. Shirley Bush Morris, 78, died Sunday, June 12, 2011, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN.

 

Ms. Morris was born in Covington, VA, had lived in Lexington, KY, and in Fulton, KY for the past six years.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women of Fulton, KY.  She had been a buyer for McAlpins Department Store in Lexington.

 

She is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Scarlett Paitsel of Fulton, KY, and Steve and Jill Paitsel of Charlottesville, VA; 10 grandchildren, Kirk Paitsel of Fulton, Mark Paitsel of Hopkinsville, KY, Jon Paitsel of Fulton, Stephanie Griffith of Hopkinsville, KY, Paige Aldridge, Hannah Aldridge, Colton Aldridge and Callen Aldridge, all of Fulton, KY, Tiffany Thornton of Charlottesville, VA, and Melissa Paitsel of Orlando, FL; 7 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Clarence H. Bush, Jr. and wife Elsie of Burnsville, NC, and Bob and Dorothy Bush of Fulton, KY.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary (Simmons) and Clarence H. Bush, Sr.

 

A memorial service is scheduled for 4:00 p.m., Friday, June 17, 2011, at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton, with Rev. Bill Tate officiating.  Burial will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 20, 2011, in Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, KY.  Visitation will be held on Friday, June 17, 2011, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
