“SELF CONFIDENCE”

By: Bob Stoess

Are you the self-confident person that you want to project in your everyday living or do you allow fears of failure to guide you down the pathway of life?  Are you afraid to risk the security of being “average” to attain greater goals?  Do you really mature, if you never take a chance to improve your position when there is risk involved?  Would you take a chance to improve your lot in life, if you thought others might criticize you?  Do you limit your abilities because you’re not properly motivated?

Most all of us have some great natural talent just waiting to propel us to better things in life.  We need to take charge of our lives by growing from all of our experiences.  Motivation to grow must come from within.  We can stimulate that growth through knowledge.  Get that needed education.  We need to be expressive.  Smile!  The world smiles back at your happy face.  We need a strong body.  Take care of your health.  Exercise, walk that extra mile.  We need an open mind.  Listen to both sides on every issue.  Be sure to learn something new everyday of your life.  We need a positive attitude.  Look at the glass as half full.  We need to be courageous.  Don’t be afraid to go out on a limb.  Remember, that’s where the fruit is.

Finally, the only way to be truly self-confident is to have an eternal life-saving knowledge of God.  He will give guidance, when you have questions and concerns.  He will give you knowledge to meet your daily needs.  He will give you patience, when the pace of life overwhelms you.  He will give you courage, when you face adversity.  He will give you peace in the midst of strife.  And, when you face the end of life, He will give you joy in knowing that you will live forever, with Him.  So, live your life in the light of eternity and know the self-confidence you have in God.
