County mayoral candidates to speak at Weakley County Legislative Breakfast


MARTIN, Tenn. — Local officials and business leaders will hear presentations from hopeful county mayoral candidates during the 7th Annual Weakley County Legislative Breakfast set for 7 a.m. Friday, Feb. 7, in UT Martin’s Boling University Center.

The Weakley County Economic Development Board, Weakley County General Sessions Judge Tommy Moore and Chuck Thomas III of AT&T will host the breakfast.

Weakley County Mayoral candidates Steve Blake, Jake Bynum, Randy Edwards and David Sudberry will speak. Each candidate has a five-minute time limit.

Moore is slated to make some introductions and recognitions. Also on the agenda are Eighth District U.S. Rep. Stephen Fincher, 24th District State Sen. John Stevens and 76th District State Rep. Andy Holt.

UT Martin Chancellor Tom Rakes is scheduled to attend the event, along with city and county officials and members of the media.

Ronnie Price, president and CEO of the Weakley County Economic Development Board, is scheduled to open the breakfast with some comments.
