TCMO has successful Chili Supper

The Twin City Men’s Organization of Fulton & South Fulton held a Chili Supper on Thursday at Pontotoc Community Center.

Historical Figure visits Carr Elementary

Primary students at Carr Elementary School had a famous visitor recently. Benjamin Franklin (Cecil May) stopped by the school and talked with kindergarten, first grade and second grade students.

Upcoming Event – Adult Beginning Sewing Workshop- Once a year opportunity

The Cooperative Extension Purchase Area Master Clothing Volunteers will teach a beginning sewing class for adults starting in March.  The classes will be held at the Hickman County Extension Office, 329 James H Philips Drive in Clinton from 6:00 to 9:00 PM on Thursdays, March 6, March 13, and March 20.  

Obituary – JoAnn Guill Poyne

Mrs. JoAnn Guill Poyner, age 76, of Clinton, KY and formerly
of Water Valley, KY died February 21, 2014 at the Arbor Place in Clinton.
She was of the Cumberland Presbyterian faith and had been the
apartment manager for Eaglewood Estates in South Fulton and had
also worked for Ferry Morse Seed Company.  She was a graduate of
the University of Tennessee at Martin and had lived in this area all of her life.
