Upcoming Event – Adult Beginning Sewing Workshop- Once a year opportunity
The Cooperative Extension Purchase Area Master Clothing Volunteers will teach a beginning sewing class for adults starting in March. The classes will be held at the Hickman County Extension Office, 329 James H Philips Drive in Clinton from 6:00 to 9:00 PM on Thursdays, March 6, March 13, and March 20.
A registration fee of $30 will cover the cost of the pattern and some supplies and should be paid by February 28. Only a sewing machine is to be brought the first day of class. A supply list of sewing kit items will be distributed during the first class, after the items on the list have been explained.
The target audience is adults who have never sewn before, never touched a sewing machine, or always wanted to learn how to sew correctly. Class instruction will begin at the very basic level. Each participant will make a skirt or a pair of sleeping pants from woven fabric. This will prove to be a fun and exciting series of classes!
For additional information call the Fulton County Extension Office at 270-236-2351. Class size is limited, so register early. Educational programs of the Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service serve all people regardless of race, color, age, sex, religion, disability or national origin.
