Fulton County Extension Agent helps local Girl Scouts

Anna McCoy, the Family and Consumer Science Agent at Fulton County Extension recently helped the Ken-Tenn Girl Scouts with a service project. They baked, wrapped and delivered 200 cookies to residents of both Park Terrace Village and Haws Memorial Nursing and Rehab Center.

UT MARTIN STUDENT RELAY FOR LIFE TEAM WINS AWARD, ANNOUNCES GOAL AND THEME FOR 2014 EVENT

MARTIN, Tenn., Feb. 19, 2014 – STUDENT RELAY TEAM – The University of Tennessee at Martin student Relay for Life executive committee was named one of the best in the state as it raised more that $25,000 in this past year’s Relay. Seven years ago, Dr. Desiree McCullough, interim director for Institutional Research and associate professor of mathematics and statistics, was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer.

Upcoming Event – Spring into Green: Outdoor Living Edition

The 6th annual Spring Into Green workshop will feature various aspects of outdoor living.  This area-wide event will occur on Thursday, March 13th at Mid-Continent University in the Cougar Center and classroom building.  Mid-Continent University is located at 99 E. Powell Rd in Mayfield.  Spring Into Green is sponsored by the Purchase Area Extension Agents for Family & Consumer Sciences.
