Martin Police Investigate Home Invasion
On 3-16-2014 at approx. 0511 hrs. officers responded to 417 Old Fulton Rd. in reference to someone breaking into the residence with guns drawn.
Upon officer’s arrival they spoke with the complainant/victim, Tamara Manley, about the incident. The complainant stated that she and the other victims were laying in the bed when she heard what sounded like her back door being kicked in. The complainant stated that she then saw 3 black males wearing masks with guns. The complainant and victims were forced to lay down in the hallway. The complainant stated that she saw one of the males with a silver handgun and he kept pointing the gun at her trying to obtain information from her about where something was in the residence. Victim was struck in the head by one of the suspects with what is believed to be a gun. Victim stated the suspects appeared to be searching for something in the house.
Officers did secure the house to await the arrival of CID. EMS was called for the complainant but she refused to go to the hospital. The incident is still under investigation.
