Egg Hunt in Martin, TN announced

Here comes Peter Cottontail hoppin’ down the bunny trail to the 28th Annual Easter Egg Hunt.

WCMT\Star 95.1 Radio Stations, Martin Parks & Recreation, E.W. James & Sons Supermarket and Union City Coca-Cola is cosponsoring the Egg Hunt at the Martin Recreation Complex from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 12th.

Children 1-10 years of age are reminded to obtain a FREE Egg Hunting License that are available by March 31st at our department and the following Martin businesses: Martin City Hall, WCMT/Star 95.1, E.W. James & Sons or Snappy Tomato Pizza.

Special Needs can hunt at 10 a.m.; 1-2 years old hunt at 10:20 a.m.; 3-4 years old will begin hunting at 10:40 a.m. (parents may help in these divisions only); 5-7 years old at 11 a.m. and 8-10 years old at 11:20 a.m. Grand prizes will be awarded for the golden egg in each division.   There will be special activities for children throughout the day. The Martin Kiwanis Club will be sponsoring a Decorated Egg Contest.  Children 3-10 years old can bring their decorated egg to the Easter Egg Hunt to be judged.  Judging Categories:  Most Colorful; Most Unusual and Best Caricature.  Prizes will be presented in the respective age groups after the winner of the golden egg in each hunt.  Please no decorated raw eggs.  Children can enjoy the games and inflatable balloon playground provided by Magical Mink’s Entertainment beginning at 10 a.m.  These hunts and activities are free.  Concessions will be available for purchase.

Children are encouraged to bring their own Easter basket, a bucket or a bag to hold eggs and prizes.  Come out and enjoy this special event.  Hey, bring your kite and enjoy a day of kite flying also.  Rain Date:  Sunday, April 13th from 1:30 – 3:30 pm.  For more information call Martin Parks & Recreation, 587-6784.

    The free egg hunt license is this something the kids have to get by march 31st in order to do the Easter egg hunt?
