The Twin Cities Chamber of Commerce announced the Business of the Month for April 2014.  The April 2014  is Park Terrace Village. Park Terrace Village offers an Innovation in Senior Living, providing Residential Assisted-Care Living and Independent Living. 

Obituary – Mercedes Engel

Mercedes Engel, age 94, of Fulton, KY died Friday, April 4, 2014 at the Parkway Regional Hospital.

She was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Fulton and was
active in church affairs, serving as senior warden and on Bishop committee;
served on PTA, the Boy Scouts of America, Cub Scouts and Weblow’s.
She was a graduate of Fulton High School and the University of Tennessee
at Martin. She had worked for the Illinois Central Railroad from 1943-1980
as a clerk for the trainmaster and general foreman.  She was an avid
bridge player and had lived in this area all of her life.

She is survived by a son and daughter in law,  Dr. Lee Engel (Jan) of Greenville, MS and two granddaughters Savannah Engel of New York, NY
and Alexa Engel of  Clinton, MS and a sister Virginia Khourie of Cario, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Lee Engel, her parents Alexander and Lillian Khourie, a son Dr. Robert Engel, two
brothers and a sister.

Funeral service will be held at 2 pm Sunday, April 6 at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Fulton with interment in the Obion Co. Memorial Gardens.                                                                                                                                     Visitation will be from 1 pm Sunday until the funeral hour at the Trinity Episcopal Church.
